The Company:
Our Client is a leading global operator in the Oil, Gas and Energy industry. This role supports various global projects.

The Role:
The incumbent will work with and provide interface support to the Rig Startup team in the Rig Engineering organisation. The role will focus on bringing rigs in to the organisation and preparing them for startup using the Rig Intake & Startup Operating Practice (RISOP). This will require individuals with experience in rig upgrades and startups. The individual will develop the rig startup plan which requires the integration of various drilling, completion and intervention systems and the application of project management skills to integrate HSE values with drilling well completions and subsea installation efficiency and cost control.

• Assist with the application of RISOP and the development of the Rig Delivery Plan for rig intake.
• Understand rig equipment list and able to assess a rig technical specification to determine if the rig is suitable for the planned workscope.
• Organise, facilitate and document the bi-weekly Wells I Subsurface I Subsea interface meeting regarding outfitting of the rig.
• Organise, facilitate and document interface meetings with 3rd party service and equipment providers, our client's functional disciplines and rig contractor regarding outfitting of the rig.
• Responsible for coordinating the installation of 3rd party services on the rig.
• Will work with communications I networking engineer and rig contractor personnel to identify and plan the installation of communications and networking systems on the rig which will be used by the client and 3rd party personnel.
• Present at shipyard and/or go to the rig during installation work to ensure timely and quality execution.
• Responsible to monitoring and communicating the completion progress of modifications to the rig to the team (our client and 3rd party companies). ,
• Will be expected to actively participate in equipment quality assurance work for owner, operator and 3rd party provided equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining and reporting on the rig modifications budget specific to each Variance Order.
• Will actively participate in the integrity assurance process that will be applied to the delivery and start-up of the rig.
• Will be expected to participate and contribute to on-going risk identification and mitigation efforts for the rig,
• The Rig Delivery Engineer will use the Rig Engineering Sharepoint site as the definitive collaboration tool for all rig documentation.
• Will access, capture and share learnings on an on-going basis using our client's own Knowledge Management tools.
• Will be expected to organize Peer Assists where and when required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Successful candidate is likely to be degree qualified (or industry equivalent qualifications) and have more than 10 years experience in the area of rig maintenance, upgrades and/or new builds.

Successful candidate will have good English oral and written communication skills. Will be competent user of Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Well construction experience though beneficial is not mandatory
