The Company:
Oil and gas company (our client) is urgently looking for Rig Manager (OFFSHORE RIG):

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE Fluent Russian, intermediate English. Experience in Offshore driling operations (STRICT).

1) Basic Function:

Manage, supervise and co-ordinate all operations and activities on assigned rig to ensure safe, environmentally friendly and timely completion of assigned drilling, work-over, maintenance and repair programs. Includes preparing work schedules, directing the work of subcontra

The Role:
Each job holder has the following responsibilities for asset integrity as enshrined in the Asset Integrity Management System of the Company:
a) Has ownership for the safe management of the rig and all major assets on site, including all integrity and HSE Critical equipment and systems.
b) Ensures that processes and procedures on board assigned rig comply with Company asset integrity requirements.
c) Ensures that all personnel and contractors on board the assigned rig are fully trained in the requirements of Company Asset Integrity policies and procedures (particularly Management of Change, Materials and spares quality management systems and Integrity reporting).
d) Ensures that any modifications to Rig, equipment, procedures and personnel are carried out in accordance with the corporate MOC standard.
e) Takes charge of and technically approves MOC requests up to delegated integrity criticality rating.
f) Ensures that scheduled maintenance, inspection and monitoring activities are completed in a timely manner, including reporting of any overdue PMS as required by Integrity management.
g) Ensures periodic integrity reviews are completed in a timely manner. Responsibility includes requesting integrity audits by Head Office as per company procedures.
h) Responsible to regularly tour rig and report all integrity concerns to Head Office and follows up same for speedy close out.
i) Pro-actively reports all incidents that are integrity related with a view to preventing actual incidence of events where the integrity of assets are compromised
j) Monitors staff behaviour and ensures actions are taken consistent with maintaining the integrity of the company assets.
k) Participates actively in the Company objectives for meeting the corporate targets for integrity performance by cascading integrity responsibilities to staff on assigned rig.

Supervises a total of 41 staff including Barge Captain/Engineer and Assistant Rig Manager

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
a) B.Sc. in Engineering discipline preferably Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent supplemented by short training courses in drilling technology, safety measures, life saving and survival at sea.
b) 8 years' experience in oil drilling operations including 5 years as a tool-pusher in an offshore rig.
c) Excellent communication and leadership skills.
d) Fluency in spoken and written English.
e) Valid I.W.CF certification – Supervisory level.
