The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
• FIFO Brisbane to Chinchilla
• Even Time 2 weeks on/2 Weeks
• Work on a Major Oil & Gas Project

Our Client is seeking an experienced Materials and Logistics Coordinator to join their Well Engineering Team to provide logistics planning and support during drilling and completion operations. You will responsible for coordinating materials, service providers activities and ensuring all materials and services required to support drilling and well engineering operations are fit for purpose and executed safely. The role will encompass maintaining records, inspection certificates and ensuring materials and equipment are properly stored in accordance with OEM specifications. You will ensure all personnel are familiar with legislative standards and compliance and interface with departments completing reconciliations and audits.

Key to the success of this role, will not only be materials and logistics experience, but application of this experience within a drilling and completions sector.

The candidates responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
• Supervise receipt and goods inward inspections of all materials received
• Prepare and maintain a project-specific material control plans.
• Monitor and assist with the establishment of material receiving, storage and distribution at the sites
• Maintain materials stock control and inventory system for drilling and completion equipment items
• Assist as required with the improvement of existing materials management systems.
• Organise material & equipment inspection, rework, repair and other need requirements
• Manage long lead procurement expediting and deliveries.
• Possess and apply a highly safety orientated attitude in the workplace

Candiates will be required to travel domestically and internationally

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Professional qualifications in relevant discipline or equivalent experience in logistics (land, air and/or marine) management
• Demonstrated knowledge in land transport and the procurement function, including freight forwarding and customs clearance, as well as permitting requirements
• Proven experience in land, marine and/or air transportation and warehousing of drilling related materials
• Proven experience in liaising with the variety of drilling services providers and vendors
• Experienced in logistics operations, materials and equipment, transportation and local laws and regulations within the Oil & Gas Industry is essential
• An understanding of HSSE implications of the drilling operations
• Experience with materials management, supply chain processes, tenders etc
• Experience working in a multi functional and multi-location environment
• Ability to maximise the utilisation of resources
• Working experience with SAP in a materials controls, procurement function

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• General logistics understanding - marine, aviation and road transportation
• Knowledge of international oil industry related standards
