The Company:
The company designs, constructs, transports, installs and removes offshore facilities for the global oil and gas industry. During the last decades they have become a significant international player in the offshore oil and gas construction industry. The Group consists of two divisions, each with a specific role in the activities of the Group

The Role:
As a qualified Rigger your function will be to provide the suitable and appropriate rigging and slinging of heavy objects.

Working in a busy fabrication facility you will be working in a team of tradesmen and report to the Rigger Supervisor. Your responsibilities will include:

• The interpretation of drawings and documentation.
• Before any Rigging/Erecting work is carried out you must ensure that all erection sequences are followed and lifting equipment is available and is in good order certified for use and with our current colour coding.
• Report all defects and shortages to the supervisor.
• Withdrawal of correct materials lay down areas and stores
• Carry out the slinging and rigging operations in accordance with the relevant works instructions or the clients requirements.
• Pass on all relevant information to other riggers and tradesmen and on completion of the construction check that it satisfies the drawing requirements
• Liaises with inspectors as required
• The cleaning and protection of work and rigging equipment
• Quality assurance and control
• Assistance with loading and unloading packing and delivery of equipment materials.
• Liaises with health and safety officer and supervision to promote a safe working environment
• Be responsible for their individual quality health and safety as well as their colleagues
• Be responsible for general good house keeping and safe working practices
• Cable management and house keeping
• Individual risk awareness within job role
• Be responsible for general good house keeping and safe working practices in the workshop and on facility

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Successful SHE induction
• Previous experience as a rigger on construction and petro-chemical sites.
• An understanding of a company quality safety health & environmental systems & programmes
• Communicate in a positive manner with shop floor personnel and discipline supervisor
• NVQ Level 3 in Rigging/Moving Loads
