The Company:
The company designs, constructs, transports, installs and removes offshore facilities for the global oil and gas industry. During the last decades they have become a significant international player in the offshore oil and gas construction industry. The Group consists of two divisions, each with a specific role in the activities of the Group

The Role:
Function:
To provide the suitable and appropriate rigging and slinging of heavy objects.

Working Hours
Dayshift - 4 x 10 Hour Shifts Monday to Thursday, 7.30 am to 6.00 pm. 37 Paid at £16.34 ph PAYE or £21.39 ph Ltd Co, 4 hours paid at £24.51 ph PAYE or £27.99 ph Ltd Co.
3 x 8 Hour Overtime Shifts available Friday, Saturday & Sunday at premium rates.

Responsibilities:
• Adherence to Company Policy, procedures.
• Quality, safety, health and environmental awareness (e.g. responsible for own and others safety.
• To perform tasks which maybe requested by Management.
• Individual risk awareness within job role.
• Be responsible for general good house-keeping and safe working practices in the workshop and on facility.
• The interpretation of drawings and documentation.
• Ensure that all erection sequences are followed and lifting equipment is available and is in good order certified for use with current colour coding.
• Report all defects and shortages to the Supervisor.
• Withdrawal of correct materials lay down areas and stores.
• Carry out the rigging/slinging operations in accordance with the relevant Works Instructions or the clients requirements.
• Pass on all relevant information to the follow-on trades, and on completion of the construction check that it satisfies the drawing requirements.
• Liaises with inspectors as required.
• The cleaning and protection of work and equipment.
• Quality assurance and control.
• Assistance with loading, unloading packing and delivery of equipment/materials.
• Liaises with Health and Safety Officer and Supervision to promote a safe working environment
• Be responsible for their individual quality health and safety as well as their colleagues
• When required, attend courses to maintain competence in-line with new standards and techniques.
• Will assist in training of apprentices, students and new employees.
• Be responsible for general good house-keeping and safe working practices
• Be responsible for the accuracy and content of their own work.
• Cable Management and house-keeping

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Successful SHE induction
• Previous experience rigging on construction and petro-chemical sites.
• An understanding of a company Quality Safety Health & Environmental systems & programmes.
• Communicate in a positive manner with shop floor personnel and discipline supervisor.
• NVQ Level 3 Moving Loads - ESSENTIAL
