The Role:
Located West of Shetland in the UK, our clients project is an ambitious project to construct a new Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit to replace the existing FPSO.
This will also include an extension of the existing subsea system with 15 new and replacement flow lines and 21 new and replacement risers. And with the addition of 14 new wells to the 52 existing ones.

Although the field has been in operation since 1998, recent appraisals show that the field holds more reserves than originally anticipated, and this redevelopment will give us the ability to reach them. In fact, once completed, the FPSO is expected to produce 130 mbd of oil and 220 mmscfd of gas compression. The North Sea is clearly a location set to continue to utilise great technological advancements.

The FPSO and its subsea structures will be installed in modules and will be producing by 2017.

The candidate should have experience with riser installation planning and execution (onshore and offshore) as well as exposure to riser analysis and the core components / drivers behind it.

Contract position for a leading major operator based in Aberdeen.
