The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
The Riser, Spools & Structures Engineer is part of a multifunctional project team responsible for subsea equipment and pipelines design and construction activities associated with the LNG project's Upstream development, including front-end engineering, detailed design, and interfaces with drilling and completions, facilities, downstream, commissioning, and operations.

The Riser, Spools and Structures Engineer has responsibility for the riser system design, tie-in spools between the flowline/trunkline systems and the platform and drill centres and the overall tie-in design at all trunkline/flowline termination points.

In addition, this position will have responsibility for the management of structure designs undertaken by the Infield Flowlines and Subsea Installation Contractors, and for coordination of structural and foundation design issues with the SSFP Subsea group.

Some responsibilities will include:-
• Coordination and collation of engineering deliverables, construction specifications, procurement, fabrication and testing specifications, execution philosophies, strategies and schedules associated with the riser, spool and tie-in systems, and flowline/trunkline system subsea structures.
• Engineering direction of key design issues, including SSIV and spool system design at and flowline in-line tee tie-ins at the subsea drill centres and diverless PLETs at all drill centres.
• Coordinating riser and tie-in system internal assurance processes and ensuring risk mitigation and cost management strategies are actioned and closed out effectively.
• Oversight of the QA/QC elements of the scope.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree Qualified (Engineering/Marine/Mechanical)
Substantial previous experience in a similar role
Understanding of DNV codes for both design and installation
Design of Subsea tie-in systems and modelling of risers and spoolpieces, understanding of structure foundation seabed interaction
Excellent verbal/written communication skills, ability to manage engineering consultants to defined schedules and work collaboratively
