The Company:
Our client is a leading UK based Operator

The Role:
Develop and maintain a LNG/gas market database; conduct fundamental LNG/gas market analysis and risk analysis; provide regular market risk report to support business decisions.
Operate as a member of the Risk team, carry out risk management activities.
Assist in developing and supporting other complex models (such as operational models) required by the business.

Key responsibilities:
Examples of decision making authority:
• Develop and maintain a LNG/gas market database to provide accurate, reliable and timely data to the Company.
• Develop and maintain risk models.
• Analyse data to provide regular reports on market dynamics and risks to support business decisions
• Coordinate and carry out risk analysis on new projects and contracts, including Customer Take On tasks for Risk.
• Assist in risk management initiatives and carry out on-going activities (such as the monthly reports, risk limits monitoring, internal & shareholder audits).
• Assist in maintaining the Risk Register.
• Assist in implementing risk management policies and procedures.
• Assist in developing and supporting other complex models (such as operational and analytical models) required by the business

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
• Graduate level in a numerical, economics or financial discipline.

Essential Experience:
• Proven work experience in quantitative market and risk analysis.
• Proven experience of developing and operating databases and stochastic analytical models.
• Experience with oil, gas and LNG industry.
Expertise
Essential:
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, able to implement and operate complex quant models.
• Able to work independently and to identify real business needs.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines with close attention to detail.
Preferable:
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:

• Relevant post graduate degree / qualification.
