The Company:
With operations across the world, our client uses innovation and technology to deliver energy to a growing world. They are currently leading an integrated LNG Project in PNG that includes gas production and processing facilities including liquefaction and storage facilities.

The Role:
As the Project Risk and Loss Prevention Engineer you will be working within the Technical Group Function, on the PNG LNG project, and report to the Project Risk Coordinator.

You will provide technical support to risk management activities in the Project Management Team (PMT). Working with project and EPC contractor teams to ensure the project complies with ExxonMobil expectations and standards for Risk Management and Loss Prevention.

Assisting in the preparation, facilitation and monitoring progress of risk assessments and risk management action plans. Maintains project risk register and compiles risk management status reports. Provides loss prevention engineering input and advice to PMT and EPC teams. Works with Production Operations team on stewardship transfer of risk, loss prevention and other deliverables for operations.

Additional responsibilities:
• Assist development, maintenance and tracking of risk registers and Risk Assessment Action Plans
• Follow and assist compliance with Project risk management processes & procedures
• Assist in planning and execution of Risk Assessments
• Carry out role of scribe and/or facilitator in Risk Assessments
• Assist in distribution of Risk Assessment results and collation of feedback
• Review Risk Assessment reports and provide comments
• Assist preparation of Project risk management status reports
• Provide technical support to risk and loss prevention studies and assist in responding to contractor enquiries
• Prepare for and participate in stewardship transfer reviews with Production Operations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be successful for this opportunity you will possess a Bachelor Degree in an Engineering discipline and possess relative experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Familiarity with some or all of the following:
Risk assessment in context of major oil and gas projects
Engineering, construction and commissioning phases of oil and gas projects
ExxonMobil Project practices and processes
PNG (or similar developing country) Setting
Loss Prevention/Process Safety Engineering
Stewardship transfer from project to operations
• Well organized, able to communicate effectively with wide range of disciplines
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines and frequent changes in priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs (Excel in particular)
• Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
