The Company:
Our Client is a major contractor providing consultancy, engineering and project management services to the world's energy, power and process industries. They are the leading Contracting Company to the Oil and Gas Industry in the UK.

The Role:
Implement, Maintain and provided Assure compliance with the risk Management process level at a programme and project level.

Develop / Enhance processes / procedures and establish a reporting criteria which assists the programme / project in delivering business objectives.

Key Aims and Objectives:
• To align IM strategy and delivery with all project stakeholder objectives.
• Ensure IM delivery achieves the agreed project targets / milestones and expectations.

Prime responsibilities and duties:

• Facilitate workshops and engage the project management team in the identification and qualitative assessment of risks to project targets, activities and objectives.
• Support risk owners in the identification of action plans, and alternative options to address identified risks.
• Develop a project risk register which will act as a repository for all risk related information. Including but not limited to risk profiles, action plans, risk owners, planned and actual commencement and completion dates.
• Provide guidance and support to the unit team and monitor the application of the tools used within the risk management process.
• Support managers of the functional or discipline groups in the familiarisation and consistent application of risk management tools and process.
• Support project manager in mapping risks onto key activities for escalation to Programme level.
• Interview risk owners in relation to risks in order to promote regular reporting and assist in informed decision making.
• Maintain a high level awareness and application of risk management within each project.
• Support and encourage managers and units in the use of Decision Risk Analysis as a valuable means of further demonstrating decision making processes and supporting business case submissions.
• Provide assurance to the commercial manager as to the level of implementation and effectiveness of the Risk management Process across projects, demonstrating compliance with the RM process.
• Presentations on Risk Management topics to internal audiences.
• Implementing the use of Value Improving Practices and Lessons Learned.

Occasional Duties:
• Facilitate and attend meetings with management and Clients.
• Prepare and perform presentations on all aspects of Risk Management.
• Prepare and perform roll outs of systems and processes to project personnel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree / HND qualified.
• Good general understanding of all risks / uncertainties associated with project execution.
• Industry wide appreciation of risk management techniques and tools deployed in E&PMS business.
• Working knowledge of risk management process and tools.
• Ability to organise and facilitate multi-discipline workshops and engage different parties in round table discussions.
• Recent experience of Risk Management within an oil company or contract Project environment.
• An open minded and research orientated approach to Risk Management techniques.
• Ability to develop junior staff, both expatriate and RoK Nationals.
• Well developed skills in both written and spoken English.
• Good facilitation and presentation skills.
