The Company:
Our client, an international major oil and gas operator, seeks a Risk Coordinator to join their team.

The Role:
The Risk Coordinator for the offshore AngolaProject reports to the Assurance, Interface, & Risk (AIR) Manager and is responsible for the following activities:

• Support project facilities design with focus on inherent safety in design, operability, and maintainability
• Support Operational Excellence work processes for project and corporate OE objectives

• Deploy Risk Management process by maintaining project risk register to record and track all project risks and mitigations, assign risk action owners, and track risks to closure
• Provide training on risk processes and tools; act as primary contact for risk management
• Facilitate risk workshops and monthly meetings for the project team and primary contractors to address risks, gain alignment on risk mitigation plans, and resolve risks in a timely manner
• Coordinate with the project functional leads (risk owners) to ensure risk and mitigation information is captured accurately
• Coordinate the use of risk management database including monitoring, tracking, delivering, and reporting of project risks
• Coordinate risk management activities with key stakeholders for facilities design, including operations, logistics, supply chain management, and D&C
• Ensure that all risks have owners and are well defined and qualitatively assessed, including proper ranking, and that mitigation / contingency action plans are in place
• Support auditing and monitoring of contractor risks databases
• Support the risk and mitigation communication process between contractors and Company, including monitoring & reporting

• Coordinate the project's Management of Change (MOC) process, work with functional leads to forecast pending MOC requests, support development and expediting of new or existing MOC requests, facilitate bi-weekly meetings to gain MOC process alignment, and ultimately strive to bring MOCs to closure
• Provide training on MOC processes and tools; act as primary contact for MOC items
• Report monthly progress for MOC items
• Participate in activities to maintain and deploy the overall Project Execution Plan
• Seek out and apply best practices and lessons learned; support Company Risk Management network through participation & sharing of ideas and tools

• The scope requires frequent interfacing with disciplines within the project and teams external to the project
• This position provides broad exposure to the technical, commercial, and strategic aspects of Phase 4 execution in geographically diverse settings.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree, preferably in a technical field
• Minimum 5 years experience in a project environment
• Prefer prior experience in a risk management or interface role
• Strong interpersonal skills, specifically ability to facilitate large meetings
• Ability to travel internationally (~15% travel)
