The Company:
A major operator is seeking a 12+ months contract Risk Coordinator based in Houston, Texas.

The Role:
Experience needed:
• 7+ years of project work

Job roles and responsibilities:

The Risk Coordinator is responsible for the project’s risk management process which includes the following:
• Responsible for planning, scheduling and facilitating all project risk identification and assessment workshops
• Responsible for ensuring that functional leads review each risk to review / validate the risk description, assign the risk ranking, and assign the risk owner.
• Responsible for facilitating risk mitigation plan review meetings with team leads and risk owners to ensure quality risk mitigation plans are developed with timely delivery of key deliverables associated with risk mitigation plans.
• Administrator and subject matter expert of the project’s risk register (RIMS) computer system
• Responsible for providing RIMS training for all project team members and all contractors.
• Responsible for ensuring that each contractor is managing their risks in RIMS. Report out key risks and include in project teams risk register.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

• Demonstrated leadership ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with disciplines within and
external to the project team and embed a proactive risk and interface management culture
• Ability to build strong relationships with Engineering, Construction and Operations staff, facilitating
agreement and resolution across functional disciplines within the project team, and between project
and contractors, tech support groups, and customers outside the project team
• Facilitation and communication skills to effectively hold meetings that promote communication and
resolution of issues, and result in action
• Organizational and project planning
