The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
We are looking for an experienced risk management focused, safety practitioner to facilitate the effective implementation of the Project Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Control processes. This includes Hazard Identification and Risk Minimisation / Mitigation processes. Examples include H&S Hazard & Risk Registers, Work Method Statements (WMS) and Job Hazard Analysis.

A key responsibility of this role is the facilitation of the Hazard Identification (HAZID) Workshops of Project activities and procedures through a HAZID workshop report. You will provide Hazard Identification (HAZID), Risk Assessment & Control process advice to Construction, Logistics, Contractor and HESQ management teams on Barrow Island and others as directed by BWI HSS Superintendent.

The successful applicant will deliver HAZID Workshop Facilitation, in accordance with Risk Assessment (as described by AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009 Risk Management, ASHB205-2004 OHS Risk Management, and ISO 17776 Guidelines on Tools and Techniques for Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment); West Australian and Australian statutory requirements for OHS hazard identification and risk assessment. This role will ensure that an effective coordinated approach is deployed which ensures Hazard Identification (HAZID), Risk Assessment & Control activities are aligned with all relevant Local, National, Industry and Client requirements where appropriate.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• The candidate must be experienced in the HazID process for the construction and demolition of Major Capital Projects and also the statutory HazID requirements (both West Australia and Australian). Technical competence (with relevant OHS related qualifications) in occupational safety, health, and environmental management.
• Cert/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent)
• Broad-based technical industry experience in General and / or Oil and Gas Construction with broad technical / HESQ skills and in-depth knowledge of project management and construction engineering / operations.
• Able to work to deadlines with a prioritisation / professional approach.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and capability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels - both internal and external to the Project.
• Excellent written communication and report writing abilities.
• Literate in Microsoft Office 2010 suite in particular Excel (Intermediate level as a
