The Company:
Our client are a international professional services organisation that provides a range of project delivery services for major programmes within the Oil and Gas, Electricity, Power Generation, Air and Maritime, Nuclear and Defence markets

The Role:
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high quality risk management advice and support to clients including:
Write, maintain and implement project risk management plans
Arrange and facilitate project risk workshops
Accurately capture and challenge risk information from client project teams and other stakeholders
Develop and maintain high quality risk registers
Develop, cost and schedule risk models and use these to undertake quantitative risk analysis
Present risk reports and results of quantitative analyses to diverse stakeholder groups
Capture, maintain and monitor risk mitigation plans
Deliver advice on improving risk management practice including establishing strong risk management culture, delivering risk management training and coaching client teams
Provide risk management advice in the context of the commercial and business operations of client organisations
Integration with all business functions, in particular collation of cost and schedule data from other project controls and commercial elements (EVM planning)
Support identification and capture of new business for the department including:
Establish and maintain strong client relationships
Identify potential customer requirements
Develop proposals and other supporting information to secure new business
Take responsibility for the pursuit of multiple business opportunities
Support thought leadership within the team and in the market by assisting with development of new service offerings in line with department and company strategy
Supervise and develop any assigned trainees or risk analysts


We are looking for an individual that has experience of implementing risk management processes throughout the lifecycle of a project and has undertaken Qualitative / Quantitative Risk Analysis activities, utilising a proprietary risk toolset (eg Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, Risk Decisions). Ideally candidates will also have experience of operating in a consultancy environment and of business development, including customer relationship management and proposal development. Having experience of working in a civil or heavy engineering construction environment would be of benefit, but is not essential.

Candidates should be conscientious, have excellent communication and presentation skills, be very comfortable interacting with customers both alone and in teams and be willing to travel to client’s sites across the UK.


Degree educated (i.e. Risk Management, Project Management, Science, Mathematics, Business Continuity, Engineering)
Membership of the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) – Desirable
Project Management Qualification (APMP, PRINCE II, MSP) – Desirable)
Risk Analysis toolsets (Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, ARM, Predict! etc.) – Desirable
Planning/Scheduling qualification (P6 or MS Project) -Desirable
Full UK Driving License
