The Company:
Our client is a Global Engineering & Construction (E&C) Group inside which you’ll find an incredible range of expertise and opportunity.
They offer their clients a complete range of skills and services so that they can work with their teams right from the earliest ‘ideas’ stage of their planned investments, through the study or concept selection phase, the front-end design, the EPC phase, and on into the commissioning and start-up phase.

The Role:
This assignment will involve the Risk Manager to be based in Kuwait with travel to the EPC offices located in Europe, the Middle East and Far East. Working in a PMC role, the Risk Manager will lead the Risk Management group in Company's PMC team responsible for managing a multi-billion dollar investment.

• Responsible for Risk Management and management of Critical Execution Issues
• Manage the Risk Register; ensure new risks added, status of risk mitigation plans updated, raise clarifications and report on delays or issues
• Coordinate and overview updating of Risk Management System by the EPC home office and site teams
• Receive and assess EPC contractors' risk management reports, contractors will also use Easy Risk software
• Lead executive risk management presentations and communication of risks and issues
• Further project's development of a Risk Management culture

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• At least 25 years experience, including at least 5 years experience in a similar position
• Engineering degree, or equivalent, from an internationally accredited university
• Experienced in risk management on Refinery/Petrochemicals projects of more than $500M
• Experienced in conducting risk reviews to identify critical problems and challenges
• Developed Risk Management Plans and Risk Register and monitored risks
• Must have knowledge of Simulation Risk Software for schedule and cost analysis
• Project execution experience in PMC/EPC organisation
• Direct risk management activities to support achievement of the project's cost, schedule, quality and performance objectives
• Management experience to influence and focus the project team on the critical risks and issues
• Strong administration skills with ability to work effectively and accurately with systems
• Proficiency in risk and project management systems
• Good interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written comm
