The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Accountable for the Raw Material Warehouse assets, personnel, work processes and systems.
1. Represent the plant in the site/business strategy development and goal setting process (I.e. operational costs, asset utilization, operational reliability, etc.).
2. Translate and communicate the business strategy and objectives to the plant personnel.
3. Provide leadership, coaching and expectations for the personnel participating in the plant goal and budget setting processes; challenge teams and individuals to set, monitor and achieve goals aligned to the business and site strategies and goals.
4. Create an environment that fosters team and individual empowerment; establish and model expected behaviours for an empowered organization.
5. Personally communicates and establishes communication and learning systems.
6. Ensure implementation and on-going effectiveness of global work processes, Operating Discipline, management systems, enabling technologies and roles.
7. Ensure necessary resources are in place to meet production requirements and achieve the plant specific business goals.
8. Ensure delivery of schedules and quality programs align with production and packaging needs.
9. Ensure systems are in place to reduce variation, produce quality products and meet customer needs. Interfaces with customers as required.
10. Ensure the linkages between plant operations and other functions are effective (I.e. Maintenance, Site Logistics, Process Control, etc.).
11. Assume aspects of site leadership, integration responsibilities and other roles, as appropriate to the local area or business.
12. Ensure that all principles, procedures and practices are strictly comply with EH&S guidelines, regulatory and permit requirements.
13. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/ manager.
Managerial Duties:
1. Manage and oversee the day-to-day work performed by division staff.
2. Ensure all tasks and activities are performed in accordance with the client’s policies and procedures.
3. Assess the current skill set of employees and identify the need for development programs.
4. Motivate, coach, develop and support respective employees.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• University Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial).
• APICS Certification is desired.
