The Role:
Our client is a leading international oil & gas operator with over 50 global exploration projects and worldwide network of offices. To assist in the effective set up and delivery of projects they are looking for a Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to be based in Aberdeen UK but involving some travel out to projects.

Reporting to the Category Lead the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all relevant Category Management activities are underpinned by an appropriate commercial agreements and the business is optimising the use of their contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic sourcing - Undertake specific commercial exercises
• Ensuring contracts are maintained to align with activity and are used in accordance with company procedures
• Ensure compliance of procurement processes
• Provide post-contract support and advise operations on any procurement issues
• Support the delivery of operations and HSSE performance
• Provide support of all related category practices, policies and processes
• Delivery pre and post contract award support including, contracting strategy development, sourcing, negotiation, contract commitments & contract execution for operational requirements, including contract/commercial support including assessment of claims and close out of contracts as required.
• Facilitate internal procurement functional connectivity
• Enhance relationships with key suppliers in day to day interaction as well as through interaction with the Contracts Manager
• Provide supply chain management support to develop relevant cost maps, inflation reporting and overall status reporting.

The ideal candidate will have spent at least 5 years in procurement and supply chain management. You will have experience of negotiating contractual and commercial terms with suppliers, drafting and executing contract terms, post contract management and effective supplier relationship skills.

You will also need to be a strong communicator and ideally hold a relevant procurement qualification.
