Global Process Technology business within refining, petrochemical processing, gas processing and energy Industries.

The Role:
Currently looking for a Rotating Equipment Engineer will fall within the Engineering Division responsible for the following:

As a Rotating Equipment Engineer your main duties will involve:
• Write/prepare Engineering Design Specification for Compressor and Drivers. Assist process engineers in the choice of compressor type and drivers.
• Provide mechanical input to Engineering Design Specifications for pumps prepared by Project Engineers and verify the choice of pump type, materials of construction of pump, seals and drivers.
• Assist process engineers to assess existing pumps and compressors in revamp applications. Provide specialist input to develop and brainstorm revamp strategies and advise on feasibility of possible machine modifications.
• Prepare Engineering Design Specifications for Turbine Exhaust Surface Condensers.
• Occasionally review Material Requisitions for pumps and/or compressors by contractors for compliance with company specifications, assist customers in bid analysis and represent customers at vendor equipment performance tests.
• Be familiar with compressor and pump industry standards and guidelines.
• Give technical support to consulting services by giving advice on rotating equipment issues, liaising with continuing services engineers and providing home office support to onsite troubleshooting activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a Rotating Equipment Engineer you will have experience:
• Technical excellence in rotating equipment design and prepare specification.
• Ability to work independently and interface effectively with internal groups, external customers and vendors.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Relevant experience in rotating equipment design and specification, preferably in refinery and/or petrochemical industries
• Ability to support rotating equipment specification within the context of core process technologies.
