The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineering Team Lead TA/Team Leader for a residential contract within Kazakhstan

Duration: 3 years contract
Rates: Day rate + package
Type of Contract: Residential

Purpose:
The purpose of the Engineering organization comprises the following key aspects:
Provide technical assurance to the company that design, construction and commissioning of projects and plant changes are implemented according to appropriate technical standards, including RoK mandatory standards.
Support the delivery of all projects and plant changes , covering all offshore and onshore plant, facilities and infrastructure.
Manage an engineering service, which delivers solutions for the customers (Project and Asset Managers) that meet key business goals such as asset integrity, availability, reliability and product quality.
Ensure a structured approach to transfer knowledge from expatriate staff to national staff.
The Rotating Equipment Engineering Team Lead provides leadership and expertise on all aspects of Rotating Equipment Engineering .

Responsibilities:

Assures technical integrity of installations throughout their life cycle. This includes responsibilities for the Technical Authority 1 (TA1) role for the Rotating Equipment discipline:
Approves the list of Codes & Standards to be used for their discipline
Makes decision or clarifies the interpretation of Codes & Standards during application
Approves the list of business critical deliverables for their discipline
Ensures that, within their areas of authority, complying with the approved Codes & Standards through periodic formal/informal reviews of deliverables
Approves/rejects requests for deviations from the approved Codes & Standards
Approves the adoption of new or as yet unproven technologies
Reviews business critical deliverables requiring TA-1 endorsement as appropriate to their Discipline
Provides a report twice a year upon the health of his discipline to the TA
Participates in technical and compliance audits
Is accountable for exercising appropriate discipline controls for projects throughout the ORP phases (Identify, Assess, Select, Define, Execute)
Leads Rotating Equipment Engineering support to Operation. This primarily involves providing discipline input as required into the commissioning / start-up of new or modified plant, the maintenance / operation / troubleshooting of existing plant and requires an effective interface with the Operations organization for Process facilities and/or Asset Managers for Infrastructure facilities
Ensures high quality of the critical as-built documents and drawings related to the discipline for assets and for all projects
Manages team work assignments, work load, work forecasting for planned project work for these projects, and ensures that the team is adequately resourced in terms of both capacity and capability
Contribute to development of the Engineering Technology plan
Leads or participates in critical HSSE reviews

Operation and Maintenance teams, Asset Managers
Engineering Services Contractor (ESC)
Vendors/suppliers/contractors for Piping services and equipment

Qualifications & Experience:
An engineering degree and minimum 15 years relevant engineering, maintenance and/or operations experience
Recognised specialist in the global Rotating Equipment skill pool
Significant field experience gathered from a wide range of locations
Ability to quickly establish relationships with practitioners to ensure discipline engineering processes and standards are consistently applied
Aware of & familiar with issues surrounding high pressure and high H2S facilities, and have managed staff in a similarly challenging high-risk environment
Well proven interpersonal & communication skills
Familiar and comfortable with working in an out-posted environment, with significantly different operating modes
Experience of driving business improvement in engineering, key words being: technology, fit-for-purpose solutions and cost effectiveness
An energetic person with drive and stamina who is solution-oriented, customer-focused and who can deal with a multitude of, at times, challenging interfaces.

Working Conditions:
Office based environment with occasional visits to plant sites
Highly international and intercultural environment.
