The Role:
This position will be a key member of the LNG Plant Engineering Team that provides support for the project LNG Plant Project for completion of Phase 3 (FEED) and Phase 4 (detailed design).
Reporting to the Lead Machinery Engineer, who will also be located in the Contractor's Yokohama office, the Rotating Equipment Engineer will be part of a multi-functional project team. Position will be based in the Contractor's Yokohama office which is responsible for delivery of the LNG plant ISBL scope (LNG trains including pre-treatment).
Position is responsible for providing technical review of the Contractor's rotating equipment design deliverables for the facility ISBL scope and works with Lead Machinery Engineer to ensure compliance with project requirements including codes, standards and specifications.
The ISBL scope includes the main refrigerant compressors, drivers and starter/helper (steam turbine), hydraulic turbines, amine solvent pumps, various API 610 and cryogenic pumps, and other general service pumps.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree Qualified mechanical engineer with minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience with design and manufacture of rotating equipment.
Requires expertise with mechanical equipment in a gas plant, LNG, refinery, chemical, or oil and gas production environment.
Prefer experience with major LNG plant machinery including refrigerant compressors and drivers, expanders, cryogenic pumps, etc.
Proficient with industry and Company standards, specifications, and guidelines for rotating equipment.
Experience with vendor mechanical equipment design, manufacturing, and testing is beneficial.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Major capital project experience on a LNG plant project is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work in multi-discipline teams, including contractors and vendors.
Ability to effectively balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced Project environment.
