The Company:
a major oil and gas operator is seeking a Rotating Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join a Major Capital Project.

The Role:
Job Description:
This position supports all pre-Operations maintenance planning to ensure safe, reliable operation and maintenance of the LNG Plant. Responsibilities include working with the Project team and EPC Contractor in selecting and approving equipment drivers and ancillary systems, supporting Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) and equipment criticality, various HES studies, providing input into FEED, detailed designs and planning for Phase 5 operations. Provides daily support to activities related to the Mechanical Maintenance of Utilities and Process including all types of rotating equipment; specifically Gas Turbine Driver / Compression and Steam Turbine Generators. Supporting the development of the Phase 5 maintenance plan including condition monitoring and equipment preservation. Participating in Vendor kick-off meetings and subsequent testing including Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing and performance testing. Ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards. It is anticipated that this position will transition into a back-to-back rotational / residential Asset and Integrity lead role, British Columbia to support the execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, performance testing, and ultimate handover of the completed facilities to the CBU LNG. The position will work closely with the CBU LNG representatives.


Education:
HS and In depth knowledge of rotating equipment condition monitoring and maintenance. Ability to evaluate driver types, components and ancillary systems. Performance of simulations and sensitivity scenarios. Performance of equipment criticality studies, spare parts analysis based on Vendor recommendations considering criticality, lead-time and costs. Application of Engineering Standards and industry standards to meet operating conditions for the lifecycle of the facility.


Experience:
LNG / Gas Plant Experience (LNG / cryogenic plant experience a strong advantage): Application of maintenance best practices and cost analysis to improve overall maintenance and condition monitoring to ensure reliability. Reliability Process experience with rotating equipment related to the following list of major equipment and involved processes is desired; cryogenic process, fractionation, large gas turbine drive compressors, steam generation, nitrogen systems, power generation, high voltage power distribution system, fuel gas system, flare system and storage and loading system.


Preferred Skills:
Experience supporting operations and maintenance process and procedure development on major capital projects. Consulting with business units to determine needs, providing direction and assistance with the development of the plot plan, equipment installation, commissioning, startup and performance testing plans.


Additional Comments:
Potential work locations during Detailed engineering; Houston or Yokohama. Travel to Calgary, EPC Contractor office(s), Vendor Sites and eventually to Kitimat BC is anticipated
