The Company:
Our client a UK based refining and marketing company, have interests in a number of facilities in the United Kingdom, employing around 1000 people throughout the UK and over 33000 worldwide. They have had their presence on Teesside for over 30 years, processing and storing crude oil ready for shipment along with being an established supplier of bulk fuels, including LPG, to the commercial, aviation and marine industries.

The Role:
•To interpret and understand job requirements from preventative maintenance instruction, specification and / or other documentation.
•To interpret job requirements from preventative maintenance instruction, specifications and / or other documentation.
•Install rotating equipment in accordance with established standards, limits, fits, tolerances, procedures and guideline.
•To maintain and repair rotating equipment with established standards, limits, fits, tolerances, with established PM routines, procedures and guidelines
•Support the ISSOW process and adopt the role of Permit Acceptor as appropriate
•Generate SAP Material Requisition for work orders and projects and create SAP notifications for defects
•Provide feedback on all maintenance tasks to allow collation of asset history, whether that be written, electronic or verbal
•Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out to the highest safety and environmentally ethical standards
•Generates ideas for cost saving/efficiencies, minimises maintenance costs by providing feedback for analysis of maintenance trends or delays and suggesting causes and solutions
•Responding to Call Outs
•Deputising for Rotating Equipment Supervisor as required.
•Undertaking any administrative tasks in support of role.
•Assisting in reviews and development of relevant section procedures, PM routines and risk assessments
•Coach, support and mentor contract apprentice technicians.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Relevant approved apprenticeship/NVQ level 3 or equivalent
•Minimum City & Guilds / ONC certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
•Extensive experience of Petro chemical environment and knowledge of process plant, maintenance routines, safety and environmental procedures.
•Strong understanding of rotating and reciprocating equipment (turbines, pumps and compressors) – for the rotating technician group
•Working knowledge of SAP - Maintenance Management System
•Knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, etc.
