Our Client is a leading Nuclear Specialist covering New Build , Maintenance and Decommissioning in Radiation Protection

The Role
Provide radiation protection advice to clients that will ensure regulatory compliance. Evaluate the operating environments and develop safe systems to ensure appropriate standards of radiological safety. Participate in the development, testing and evaluation of operating instructions and contingency arrangements. Develop and motivate junior personnel within the Health Physics operating team. Review operational HP data and initiate follow-up action as required.

Evaluate operating environment and their radiological requirements, tailor the range of HP services to develop appropriate safe systems of work.
Customer focal point on all aspects of operational Health Physics.
Provision of radiation protection advice that will ensure working practices meet the requirements of current Legislation and best practice.
Take an interest in staff welfare to help maintain a well-balanced operating team.
Advise teams on operational styles that should be adopted to maintain a safe working environment.
Undertake all work in compliance with the Nuvia Limited Health Physics QA system
Use of Respiratory Protective Equipment and Personal Protective Equipment.
Can be expected to work off site for extended periods of time in the United Kingdom and Overseas.
Member of on-call emergency response team.
