The Role:
• As a key member of the HSE Team, support implementation of the Operations Integrity Management System for Canada East operations
• Provide leadership and support for incident investigation management process and participate in incident investigations as required
• Support Operations to ensure compliance to regulations, safety standards and procedures
• Provide advice and support on HSE awareness programs (e.g. Hazard Identification, Near Miss reporting, Last Minute Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis)
• Perform proactive and reactive performance monitoring. Conduct trending analyses for various processes and programs such as – Control of Work, behavioural observations, hazard identification, Loss Prevention Observations, and incidents
• Support quality assurance and control for the site’s HSE activities
• Provide support to on-going operations, participation in audits, facilitate regulatory visits, and follow-up /tracking of issues until resolved
• Maintain awareness of HSE processes and procedures. Pro-actively audit and inspect activities for continuous improvement in HSE
• Support the control of work system
• Support emergency preparedness and response coordination for both offshore & onshore
• Participate in risk assessments
• Prepare HSE reports and procedures as required
• Support a variety of safety initiatives as required
• Liaise with other operators and contractors and to identify and implement best practices
• Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs to personnel, i.e. incident investigation, STOP, NORM and H2S awareness
• Work closely with HSE leadership to develop clear HSE execution plans and key performance indicators in order to achieve business objectives and priorities
• Leverage technical HSE expertise of the organization. Support execution of plans and tactics to meet day-to-day operational requirements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Post secondary diploma or degree supplemented with a Safety Engineering diploma or equivalent education complemented with 5+ industry experience (preferred). Offshore related experienced is an asset.
• Must be adaptable to provide a high level of support in a fast paced multi-task work environment.
• Knowledge and /or experience in the area of personnel safety management would be beneficial.
• Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and interact with diverse groups including onshore and offshore personnel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs.
• Maintain current BST and ability to travel and work offshore.
