The Company:
Currently embarking on one of the largest domestic gas developments on the eastern seaboard on a project that represents around $3 billion investment in Victoria’s energy future, our client is one of Australia premier Oil & Gas producers.

The Role:
As site Safety Advisor you will provide Health and Safety Support to the site leadership team and the EPC team. Based on site you will ensure establishment and proper implementation of work processes at the site level as stipulated in the Project Safety Plan and the Project Security Plan.
You will be required to facilitate and advise contractor and subcontractors to establish, communicate, and implement safety expectations and initiatives and monitor conformance with project and site safety execution plans and implement improvements where appropriate.

As Site Safety Advisor you will promote safety awareness and safe performance among Project Team members, including consultants and contractor personnel.

Day to day responsibilities include:
- Identify and work to eliminate site hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts and at the same time work with company, contractor, and subcontractor management toward achieving an injury-free work place.
- Liaise with Site and Project management on significant safety issues and plans / progress toward resolving issues and eliminating hazards.
- You will assist in implementation of systematic safety processes to assure compliance with the Project Safety Management System (PSMS) requirements.
- Collect and analyse data on safety initiatives and performance for reporting to project and functional management.
- Conduct Safety inspections and assessments
- Preparing and providing site inductions according to company policy
- Ensure compliance

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Site experience role experience prior is essential
- Experience with Projects in Construction phase
- Excellent Communication skills
- Relevant industry experience - oil/gas/hydrocarbons
- Proven experience in a similar HSSE role
