The Role:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provides specialist Operational Safety support for the assigned area of responsibility within Site Support team
•Acts as the interface between the Site Support team and assigned area of responsibility
•Ensures procedures and documents required for safe operations and emergency response are prepared and maintained.
•Influences contractor safety performance through audits, incident investigations and ensuring that all identified actions are closed out.
•Acts as focal point for all queries on all safety subjects, liaising with the Core Contractors as and when required

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
•Provides support to all site operations, construction and project activities including; responding on safety queries; incident investigation, analysis and reporting; follow-up of close-out of any actions from incidents.
•Prepares safety reports as required by Lead Safety Advisor.
•Participate in HSE audit plans for area of responsibility and organises (or carries out) audits as required, ensures reports are issued and ensures that all actions are closed out correctly.
•Chairs RCA’s and risk assessments as required and supports the Lead Safety Advisor in the preparation of the meetings and close-out of the actions arising.
•Attend contractor SHE meetings as required.
•Prepare incident investigation feedback for presentation by the Lead Safety Advisor at the Incident Review Meeting.
•Organises, prepares appropriate material and attends necessary safety meetings, and ensures that all actions arising are recorded.
•Cover areas of responsibility within Site Support team as well as secondary areas as required by the Lead Safety Advisor
•Review and update procedures as and when necessary as directed by the Lead Safety Advisor

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Highly experienced in an operational safety role with a professional qualification in safety (minimum NEBOSH certificate or equivalent)
•Proven track record in the provision of specialist Safety support to the nominated area(s) - in this case, Subsea, Pipelines and Projects
•Experience in incident investigation and analysis using a systematic methodology
•Experience of carrying out audits of safety procedures (SIMOPS, permit etc)
•Experience writing procedures and Bridging documents.
•Offshore Survival Certificate plus MIST
•Offshore Medical Certificate
