The Company:
A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experiences engineering professionals.

The Role:
To lead the safety restraints development, design and change management across all programs to ensure all targets and legislative requirements are met.
Establish and confirm vehicle, system and component level target for passive safety attribute
 Lead performance delivery of vehicle safety attribute to targets
 Drive engineering issues resolution to meet programme targets and constraints
 Set and manage programme budgets
 Liaise with project team and other engineering functions to deliver safety attribute performance
 Manage safety attribute related DVP and timing
 Conduct safety attribute related testing (including full vehicle, sub-system and component testing)
 The post holder will undertake other duties as may be required to achieve the company’s objectives

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering degree (or equivalent), with a minimum 2.1 classification
 Experience in physical vehicle safety related testing (full vehicle, subsystem or component)
 Experience of working with CAE tools (MADYMO/LS-DYNA/CAD)
 Experience of worldwide automotive regulations (ECE/FMVSS/GCC)
 Experience of working with safety restraint systems/components
 Intuitive knowledge of fundamental mechanical engineering theory
 Excellent IT skills and working knowledge of MS Word/Excel
 Excellent problem solving abilities
 Self-starting and self-motivated with excellent organisational skills
 Able to learn quickly and integrate into a successful and dynamic team
