The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Overall scope includes design and installation of offshore subsea production facilities comprising, pipelines, onshore gas treatment, LNG liquefaction, LNG storage and load out facilities. An agreement with State Government calls for the installation of a domestic gas supply system from the project. Current plans include re-injection of the reservoir CO2 on to a remote island for disposal.
The key responsibilities for this role are:
• Support the development of an Incident and Injury Free culture within the Development Team including contractors, partners and the wider Gorgon Team. Support the development and implantation of OE in Gorgon.
• Provide technical safety advice and guidance to the Development team, sharing of safety best practice and liaise with the HES Group
• Facilitate effective coordination with other functional groups including PST, Operations and Regulator.
• Liaise on processes including HES Risk Management (Riskman2) and Process Safety Management (PSM). Support the roll out of PSM initiatives within Development as they occur.
• Participate in and ensure the quality of Development H&S risk assessments, Hazard ID and other safety engineering studies and processes. Support theFacilities, Subsurface, CO2, Commissioning and Drilling functions to ensure consistent application of project processes and standards. Ensure EPCM contractors embrace Project and stakeholder expectations for H&S in design including Safety Case commitments/requirements.
• Support the development of the Development Operational Safety Cases and Pipeline Management Plans. Ensure consistency and quality in development of Safety Cases to meet regulator timeframes to meet project schedules.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum HES Diploma, HES Degree preferred.
• HUET, HAZOP Chair.
• 10 years (5 years Safety Case involvement and technical safety).
• HES 10 years with offshore pipelines, Subsea infrastructure, Wells/Drilling and offshore construction background.
• Previous experience in Lead Safety Engineer role required due the level of influence required with multiple stakeholders.
• Large Projects experience is a bonus but not essential as long as worked in busy SIMOP’s environment.
• Good Influencing skills and communicator.
