Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
An opportunity is now available for an experienced Safety and Risk Engineer to join this successful team based in CBD.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

• Support the development of the Upstream Development Operational Safety Cases and Pipeline Management Plans and interface with the offshore WOMP.
• Ensure consistency and quality in development of Safety Cases to meet regulator timeframes to meet project schedules.
• Participate in and ensure the quality of Upstream Development H&S risk assessments, Hazard ID and other safety engineering studies and processes. Support the interface between Upstream Facilities, Subsurface, CO2 Pipeline, Commissioning, Operations and Drilling functions to ensure consistent application of project processes and standards.
•Ensure EPCM contractors embrace our client and stakeholder expectations for H&S in design including Safety Case commitments/requirements.
• Liaise with our clients Safety Engineers and ABU Risk Management group on processes including HES Risk Management, Manage Upstream Risk Registers in Stature and support Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives within Upstream Development as they occur.
• Facilitate effective coordination with other functional groups including Downstream, Operations and Regulator to ensure Upstream’s interface requirements within the LNG safety case is achieved.
• Provide technical safety advice and guidance to the Upstream Development team, sharing of safety best practice and liaise with the Risk Management, Operations and HES Group.
• Support the development of an Incident and Injury Free culture within the Upstream Development Team including contractors, joint venture partners and the wider Team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In order to be considered for this position you will have a Bachelor in Engineering and at least 10 years + experience in a similar position within Oil & Gas.

The position duration is 12 months, based in Perth and working a standard 9 hour day.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
MSC in Safety Engineering
