Our client is an award-winning company dedicated to improving safety within engineering while significantly contributing to improved reliability and efficiency within the Civil Nuclear and Defence Nuclear sectors. This is achieved through the systematic identification, assessment and prioritisation of risks.

The Role:
Hours: Full time (40 hours), Permanent

Due to rapid growth and expansion, our client needs a highly experienced Safety Case Technical Manager to lead and develop their technical team.

The role will involve coaching and developing Graduates and ensuring projects are delivered to time and budget.

A strong understanding of the nuclear industry is required for this role and the successful candidate will have a radiological background.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The role will require the successful candidate to have the following skills:
Experience of radiological hazard analysis (or similar).
Educated to degree level in Chemical, Nuclear or Process Engineering (or similar).
Extensive experience in the nuclear industry with a strong radiological background
Strong knowledge and experience of Safety Assessment Principles.
Previous experience of carrying out independent safety assessments.
Have the knowledge and experience to manage the authoring of safety documents by Graduates.
Facilitate hazard identification studies (HAZOP, FMEA etc).
Safety Case preparation (EC, PMP, PSR, PCSR etc)
Experience of Engineering Substantiation and supporting disciplines.
Chartered membership of professional body.
Experience of modelling and analysis of radionuclides (eg use of software and Monte Carlo Modeling)
