The Company:
Our client is a nuclear specialist, covering both civilian and defence sectors, across the complete lifecycle from New Build, through Operations and Maintenance, to final decommissioning and waste disposal.

The Role:
• Generic Design Assessment (GDA) experience
• Reactor Safety Case qualification (e.g. EDF AV1 or AV2). Magnox not so important but could be of interest
• Not necessarily a Safety Case purist, but has contributed – could be mechanical, EC&I etc.
• Internal/External Hazards
• Reactor lifetime management/Plant lifetime extension
• Periodic Safety Reviews
• Reactor civils experience
• Capability to be biased towards operational reactors (AGR, PWR, BWR) rather than typical NDA sites such as Sellafield, AWE and RSRL, etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential :
• Minimum first degree qualified or equivalent in an appropriate science or engineering discipline or related subject.
• Demonstrable experience of writing technical reports and/or at least minimum GCSE English at Grade C or higher (or equivalent).
• A full UK drivers licence is essential for this position as travelling between offices may be required.

Desirable:
• Post-Graduate qualification in an appropriate science or engineering discipline or related subject,
