The Role:
Safety Data Analyst
Job Description
Analyze lagging and leading indicators and provide insight as to potential gaps and propose gap closure plans. Prepare timely and accurate safety reports for all levels of the organization providing clarity and priority that informs decision making and drives sustainable improvements.
Some of the R&Rs are, but not limited to:
• Provide safety analysis to support various safety steering/management team meetings
• Coordinate data gathering/reporting/presentations associated with quarterly VP safety report, monthly OM presentations and bi-weekly field engagements
• Analyze trends and propose opportunities for continuous improvement
Core Competencies
• Technical awareness of the offshore oil and gas industry
• Excellent understanding of technical and scientific issues
• A good standard of numeracy and understanding of statistics
• The ability to think clearly, critically, decisively and to work with light supervision
• Have strong listening and analytical skills enabling the absorption of complex information and the development of clear understanding
• An excellent communicator with oral and written fluency and the ability to keep others effectively informed at all times
• Advanced in MS Excel, Power Point and Word
• Accuracy and attention to details
• Team player with ability to work on own initiative
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Previous experience as a Safety Analyst
• Some time spent in an offshore experience capacity
• Degree in hard science or engineering
• This is a contract position
• The rate for this position is negotiable.
