The Company:
A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experienced engineering professionals.

The Role:
To deliver vehicle safety electronic components systems across car lines ensuring all functional and system requirements are met including program targets and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
•Performance delivery of passive safety electronic systems including restraints control module, occupant classification etc.
•Responsible for engineering releases for all safety electronic components.
•Management of external suppliers to ensure delivery of systems.
•Chair Program Module Sub-team meetings.
•Establish and confirm vehicle, system and component level targets.
•Commodity planning and design verification test planning.
•Responsible for engineering signoff/approval of systems.
•Drive engineering issue resolution to meet all program targets and constraints.
•Responsible for concerns resolution process for all safety electronic systems.
•Support data acquisition from crash testing and dynamic misuse and abuse work including diagnostics.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Would suit a recent graduate, however, some industrial experience would be beneficial.
•Qualified to a minimum of degree level in an engineering discipline.
•Strong understanding of fundamental mechanical and electrical engineering theory.
•Whilst some experience of electronics would be beneficial the role is suitable for someone with a purely Mechanical Engineering background.
•Evidence for enthusiasm for the role and a willingness to learn.
•Excellent organisational and communication skills, self-starting and self-motivated.
•The candidate must be able to learn quickly and integrate into a successful, dynamic and supportive team. Support will be provided by the more experienced team members and management.
