Job Title: Safety Engineer

The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced and capable contract employees to work on a large multinational complex oil and gas project.

The Role:
Through example champion HSE compliance within the marine and subsea team with the goal of achieving project work scopes without incident, harm to people, or damage to property and environment.

•Provide HSE support to Marine and Subsea Team
•Provide Marine Discipline expertise in Hazid, Hazops, Risk studies etc and SIMOPS reviews.
•Liase with project Risk and Process Safety Engineers.
•Provide input into Marine and Subsea Risk Registers.
•Participate in preparation of M&S HSE Documents and Procedures and Risk Assessments.
•Undertake Safety Observations, audits, inspections etc.
•Participate in Safety Meetings, Risk Assessments, Safety Walks / Inspections, Conferences, Forums, Kick-Off meetings.
•Review and comment on Marine works, procedures and policies.
•Assist the delivery teams execute their work in accordance with the HSE requirement of MPCP and established Project Procedures, HSE requirements and guidelines.
•Monitoring that accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions are investigated and reported and corrective actions are promptly taken to prevent reoccurrence of the same.
•Evaluate tender proposals for HSSE compliance and risk.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Higher technical education in Marine or offshore construction industry in an operations related discipline / area.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in Marine and or oil and gas construction industries in HSE related roles and in marine operations in a supervisory capacity
