The Company:
Our client offers a comprehensive range of services to firms and organisations working in the oil field, petrochemical and industrial sectors in KSA and beyond. Their current services include but are not limited to engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance. They have recently been selected as engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contractor for Saudi Aramco's strategic pipeline projects related to the Master Gas Program and the Fadhili Gas Program

The Role:
Job Summary:
The role of the Safety Manager is to provide technical & professional training and support to the District Managers and Area Directors in order to facilitate and improve their ability to meet safety and compliance standards and promote the clients Safety Beliefs & Principles to all employees. The Field Safety Manager conducts audits, provides assistance, and works to improve the quality & consistency of safety training, standards, communications & program implementation. Travel will be required

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide safety and Office of Pipeline Safety training to employees
• Perform formal certification of all employees in Certified Employee Training Program, cylinder re-qualification & other company & industry training programs
• Make use of lessons learned from incidents and audits to develop Area level safety alerts for the purpose of reducing accidents and injuries.
• Insure that critical safety communications are distributed, communicated & clearly understood by all
• Perform safety audits.
• Follow up on audit action items to insure items are being completed within timeline.
• Perform incident response & investigation as directed by Regional Safety Manager, Area Director or Corporate Safety Staff
• Advise & counsel the Safety Committee.
• Other safety & training related duties as they arise
• Work with District Manager to Audit all OPS sites and ensure compliance with all regulations are met.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Prior experience with pipeline construction projects
• Working knowledge of standard safety codes
• Knowledge of propane, or related, systems including bulk plants, installations, regulators, piping systems, vaporizers & compliance standards
•Must possess workable Microsoft computer skills

Education and Experience Required:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Safety or related discipline; or a minimum of 8 years’ experience with pipeline construction.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Aramco Experience is a plus
