The Role:
Health, Safety and Environment:
 Ensure that HSE is given the highest priority.
 Support and implement the Project HSEQ management system (charters, objectives, directives, plans, procedures, specifications, …)
 Promotes HSEQ awareness of workforce at all levels through pro-active attitude (site tour management, HSEQ meetings, incentives actions,…) within Project team and Contractors
 Monitor work activities, especially potential areas where unsafe acts could occur, and ensure that risks have been properly identified and assessed prior to work execution (Job Safety Analysis).
 Demonstrate a Personal Commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment by:
o Leading by example through the demonstration of Safety Critical Behaviors;
o Compliance with TEPM Health, Safety & Environmental Regulations;
o Compliance with PROJECT Corporate Health, Safety & Environment Policy, Plans, Processes and Procedures;
o Fulfilling the HSE Training & Competence Requirements for this position.
o Interface with project management on HSE issues
 Mentor/Develop personnel in the workplace on all HSE matters
Job Duties:
 To ensure that Contractor team (HHI) suitably control the implementation of the Contractor’s Health, Safety and Environment Management (HSE) Plan and Program in accordance with contractual requirements and Company’s approved HSE Manual and 2-PR-DS-07-002 (Management of suppliers-minimum HSE requirements)
 To provide assistance, guidance and co-operation to facilitate accurate HSE assessments and achievements
 To review daily, weekly progress and reporting the HSE superintendent
 To assist LBM management team to ensure Compliance with the project objectives throughout the life of the project.
 To ensure that Contractors are following their rules and all the COMPANY rules in matters of Health Safety and Environment.
 To monitor the line of non conforming reporting and corrective actions
 To advise and assist the COMPANY HSE Superintendent with HSE matters and issues.
 To identify areas of concern which require corrective action by the Contractor and COMPANY
 To ensure the activities are in conjunction with the COMPANY and Contractor Health, Safety & Environment requirements.
 To check that Contractor organizes his HSE Team in accordance with their approved organization chart and job description. Any non conformance shall be reported to HSE Superintendent.
 To evaluate and investigate as required, any Anomaly, Near miss and Incident which may occur and give recommendation for further corrective action to be taken.
 To participate to the Safety interview and make sure that all CTR/sub CTR workers are involved in the anomaly system
 To be familiar with all Contract documents related to HSE requirements. Ensure that all parties understand the HSE requirements on yard. To monitor the Contractor’s compliance with their work permit procedure.
 To conduct with Contractor, regular HSE inspections of project activities. Maintain record of such inspections detailing the finding and recommendations.
 To ensure Contractor conducting daily HSE talks, toolbox meetings to its personnel.
 To encourage Contractor’s and COMPANY’s Site personnel on HSE and to report any unsafe action, conditions using proper form.
 To ensure that all Construction and Commissioning Equipment (cranes, lifting gear, shackles, sling, chain blocks, etc.) are fit fir purpose and have proper certification and color coding/tagging where required prior to use on working areas.
 To coordinate with Contractor for Emergency drills.
 To attend HSE meetings as required.
 To maintain good relationship with Contractor’s and COMPANY’s personnel
 To stop any unsafe operation/situation and report immediately to HSE Superintendant.
 To implement, monitor and report corrective actions at contractor site.
 To conduct job safety analysis meetings with key personnel for major tasks of the project at contractor.
 10 years’ experience in construction site HSE Supervision.
 Previous experience in a large Korean taskforce environment.
 Thorough understanding of HSE management systems and risk management processes.
 Good knowledge of Korean and international HSE legislation, codes of practice, etc.
 Fluency in Korean and English.
