The Company:
A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experienced engineering professionals.

The Role:
To deliver pedestrian impact safety attribute performance for new models, ensuring both program targets and legislative requirements are met.


Key Responsibilities & Tasks
•Establish and confirm vehicle, system and component level target for pedestrian impact safety attribute
•Contribute to company strategy on pedestrian safety performance delivery (e.g. active vs passive solutions)
•Lead performance delivery of pedestrian safety attribute to targets
•Drive engineering issues resolution to meet program targets and constraints
•Set and manage program budgets
•Liaise with project team, external suppliers and other engineering functions to deliver safety attribute performance
•Manage safety attribute related DVP and timing
•Conduct pedestrian safety attribute related testing (including full vehicle, sub-system and component testing)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Engineering degree (or equivalent) minimum 2.1
•Experience in physical pedestrian safety related development & testing (head form & lower leg)
•Experience of working with CAE tools (MADYMO/LS-DYNA/CAD)
•Experience of worldwide automotive regulations (ECE/FMVSS etc)
•Intuitive knowledge of fundamental mechanical engineering theory
•Excellent IT skills and working knowledge of MS word/Excel etc
•Excellent problem solving abilities
•Self-starting and self-motivated
•Excellent organisational skills
•Able to learn quickly and integrate into a successful and dynamic team
