The Role:
DESCRIPTION:
Upstream Safety Manual Update Coordination.

REPORT TO:
Senior Safety Advisor and Safety Manager

OVERALL SERVICES NEEDED
Interface with the client's Upstream Safety and Other Subject Matter Experts (SME) to:
o Review existing Upstream Safety Manual (USM) Chapters
o Obtain input from SME’s on needed content for updating existing USM Chapters
o Develop first draft of revised/updated Chapters
o Submit drafts to appropriate Upstream Companies SME’s for comments and revisions
o Revise drafts based on SME comments
o Obtain Lead SME endorsement of Chapter revisions

DELIVERABLES
• Per agreed to schedule for Chapters to be updated.
• From 5 to 15 Chapters to be updated per year:
• Total of up to 30 Chapters
• Each Chapter completion confirmed by Lead SME or the client Contact endorsement

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•University degree and / or technical diploma / certification (Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Professional Engineer (PE), National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH)) or equivalent.
•Demonstrated work experience in Safety-related positions (including some prior oil & gas experience).
•Preferred working knowledge of the client's safety management practices, processes, and expectations.
•Thorough knowledge of safety standards, codes, and practices.
•Must be able to effectively communicate with various Subject Matter Experts on technical USM topics.
•Willingness to travel to Houston for periodic review meetings with SME’s and the client Contact.
•Capable of developing written drafts and revisions with or without access to the client's PC/systems. (Capable of developing drafts / conducting reviews at home or out of the office).
•Proficient in use of computers and programs such as Microsoft Office.
