The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:

Support the development of the Gorgon Expansion Safety Cases and Pipeline Management Plans. Ensure consistency and quality in development of Safety Cases to meet regulator timeframes to meet project schedules.
Participate in and ensure the quality of Gorgon Expansion H&S risk assessments, Hazard ID and other safety engineering studies and processes. Support the Gorgon Expansion Upstream and Downstream functions to ensure consistent application of Chevron/project processes and standards. Ensure EPCM contractors embrace Chevron and stakeholder expectations for H&S in design including Safety Case commitments/requirements.
Liaise with Gorgon PST and ABU Group on processes including HES Risk Management (Riskman2) and Process Safety Management (PSM). Support the roll out of PSM initiatives within Gorgon Expansion as they occur.
Facilitate effective coordination with other functional groups including PST, Downstream, ASBU, Operations and Regulator.
Provide technical safety advice and guidance to the Gorgon Expansion team, sharing of safety best practice and liaise with the ABU & Gorgon PST HES Group
Support the development of an Incident and Injury Free culture within Gorgon Expansion Team including contractors, joint venture partners and the wider Gorgon Team. Support the development and implantation of OE in Gorgon.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in safety and risk engineering within an operations or project organisation
• Experience in the oil and gas, chemical or complex refining industry
• A degree in chemical, mechanical or process engineering
• Strong communication skills and an ability to engage internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to interface across groups
• A tertiary qualification in a safety engineering or a risk-related subject would be highly regarded
• Demonstrated commitment to Chevron’s values of integrity, partnership and trust and achieving an incident and injury free environment
