The Company:
Our client a UK based refining and marketing company, have interests in a number of facilities in the United Kingdom, employing around 1000 people throughout the UK and over 33000 worldwide. They have had their presence on Teesside for over 30 years, processing and storing crude oil ready for shipment along with being an established supplier of bulk fuels, including LPG, to the commercial, aviation and marine industries.

The Role:
We are currently recruiting a Health and Safety Services Lead to manage and monitor the safety of the staff working on the clients facilities. The primary aim of this role will be to improve the efficiency, drive continuous improvement of the current safety contract with KPIs etc.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities;
- Work with the HSE Assurance Superintendent to gain an understanding of: Emergency Response Plan, role of the Emergency Task Force, BU requirements and the Global Incident Management Assist Team.
- Implement, communicate and monitor implementation of rules, standards, procedures and working practices in relation to effective safety management.
- Attend where required to support H & S meetings, risk assessment and audits etc.
- Developing, reviewing and approving relevant plant and department procedures.
- Responsible for the site Safety and Security.
- Liaise with the internal and external bodies in regards to Health and Safety.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant experience and / or NEBOSH general certificate and / or fire engineering.
- Relevant experience or formal qualification in emergency response.
- Proven track record in a supervisory Health and Safety role within the Oil and gas industry.
- COMAH working knowledge
- Incident investigation experience.
- Competent in the use of SAP and IMPACT
