The Company:
Our Client has operations in the world’s most important oil and gas regions and are leaders in working in extremely difficult environments. They have interests in many offshore producing fields in the UK, including five operated fields and five partner-operated fields. The company also has interests in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, the Netherlands and Norway. The client is the largest private producer of oil in Kazakhstan and the top O&G producer in Thailand.

The Role:
•Work with key stakeholders to ensure that health and safety process is fully implemented across Company.
•Provide support within the Emergency Management Process, including ER planning, exercising and compliance with PFEER
•Provide health and safety support and guidance to other parts of the organisation as required.
•Participating in audits as required and ensuring compliance with, the Operational Excellence Audit programme.
•Assisting company in ensuring continued compliance with all current safety legislation and company standards.
•Provision of vacation cover for Operational and Drilling HSE Advisors to ensure key stakeholders are provided with safety support.
•When requested, represent company at internal and external forums, meetings and work groups ensuring company’s interest and reputation is maintained.
•Providing support/advice on procedural development and review.
•Providing support on setting safety objectives and targets.
•Supporting/ advising the Management Review Process.
•Understanding and experience of Contractor HSE Management including interface arrangements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Degree Qualified
•Recognised H&S Qualification (CMIOSH status as minimum)
•Experience in operational Safety support within the oil and gas industry.
•Thorough understanding of the UK H&S regulatory regime, codes and standards.
•Proven understanding of Emergency Management Process
•Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills
•Strong interpersonal skills, strong communication skills both written and verbal.
•Track record of strong influencing skills and proven credibility in this field of expertise.
•Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver on work output.
•Experience supporting oil and gas operations within a safety role.
•Current BOSIET/HUET/Survival Certification
