The Company:

The Role:
•To provide Safety specialist support, advice and guidance on company and legal safety requirements to the onshore asset support teams and offshore personnel in the assets.
•Main customers are production operations, engineering & maintenance.

•Provision of high quality actionable safety support and advice to the asset.
•Promote the implementation of Legal, Regulatory, Group, and industry Health and Safety standards and guidelines within the Asset.
•Contribute to the preparation and implementation of the annual HSE (improvement) plan. –
•Execute regular offshore location visits to determine the Health and Safety awareness and the alignment of working practices with internal standards and legislation.
•Review safety incidents within the asset and ensure adequate classification, investigation, and follow-up through challenge, support and participation.
•Promote and disseminate Health and safety best practice and lateral learning.
•Contribute to the delivery of the HSE assurance plan and facilitate & participate in audits, inspections and reviews as appropriate.
•Challenge and advise the Asset on Health and Safety risks and issues.
•Provide monthly HSE data/performance review and feedback
•Provide training to raise HSE awareness and implementation of HSE programmes, controls and interventions
•Monitor Contractor HSE Management and highlight areas for improvement
•Represent the Company to the regulators, specifically the Health and Safety Executive.
•Manage the operational interface with regulators for incident reporting, performance and non-compliances against legislation, and offshore inspections
•The role focuses on support to both the onshore Asset Management team as well as to the offshore Installation Management Team and the offshore safety advisors and safety representatives.
•The role is part of an integrated HSE Team that also supports the Integrated Services Contractor.
•The main challenge to the asset is to create a structural improvement of the Safety performance.
•Legislation and internal standards are changing rapidly and actionable advice is needed to support the line to simplify the implementation of these changes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A good working knowledge of HSE requirements, including HSE policies, processes, standards, procedures.
• Ability to coach and influence without formal authority or accountability.
• Effective interpersonal, communications and presentational skills.
• Knowledge of relevant Regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of the HSE-related aspects of local procedures and permits.
• Good understanding of offshore operations.
• Skilled in incident investigation processes
