Our client specialises in the design, manufacture, assembly, test, installation & commissioning of bespoke solutions for the nuclear industry.

The Role:
The Technical Sales Co-ordinator will be a highly proficient sales administrator, responsible for supporting the Sales & Product Development team in an engineering business. They will engage daily with internal and external stakeholders ensuring that both the Sales & Marketing team and the Product & Services team deliver the best results. These teams are responsible for developing new business, developing new products and managing customer expectations. This role is critical to their success. This is a new role that has great scope for an ambitious self-starter to add value and help shape a newly created function from the outset.

Key Activities:

To succeed in this role, the successful applicant will be:

• Able to use Excel (highly proficient – comfortable sorting, filtering and formatting data, creating formulae with a variety of functions. Use of macros and setting up pivot tables to summarise data).
• Highly skilled in using a CRM system (preferably Microsoft Dynamics and / or Oracle)
• Capable of compiling PowerPoint ‘pitch’ presentations to potential clients
• Responsible for arranging client meetings and client entertainment, exhibitions and team diary management
• Capable of preparing case studies, product development schedules and other relevant marketing material
Proficient in managing a CRM database
• Producing weekly and monthly reports
• Supporting the bid co-ordinator and wider team members to manage a tender process expertly and efficiently, from ITT through to contract award
Maintaining departmental KPIs and scorecards and producing weekly updates

Essential Skills / Qualifications:



Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (advanced level). Macros, pivot tables, power pivots, form controls, data analysis/interpretation/validation/ manipulation and conversion to graphical presentation of data.
• Excellent working knowledge of CRM software (setting up and running reports, setting KPI’s, data analysis/interpretation/ manipulation)
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (up to programming level, macros, pivot tables etc.).
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Power Point and other presentation software.
• Highly effective communication and influencing skills
• The ability to be proactive and continuously improve the administrative support for the Sales & Products team.
Additional information
• This role may suit someone who has an accounts working knowledge of excel that wants to move into a broader role, provided they have experience of using a CRM system as well.
