The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
To assist the overall performance of the Export Sales Support Team by ensuring that our customer service exceeds the expectations of our Measurement Products sales offices worldwide. To enhance the penetration and profitability of products and services of UK Measurement Products business by ensuring the provision of competent top level technical and commercial support.

Core responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:

- Represent the customer within the factory by acting as the primary coordination point between LSUs, Product Sales Managers and Workington factory. Form close working relationships with LSUs.
- Provide first line technical product and application support, assessing product suitability with field requirements.
- Provide timely quotations and pricing support in response to RFQs, liaising with other internal departments as required to complete the quotation process
- Log and track technical and commercial enquiries using database tools.
- Develop competitive intelligence and knowledge of global territories. Build an understanding of market dynamics, structure and price strategy.
- To assist with training and increasing technical knowledge of customers.
- Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing on contracts
- Coordinate contract reviews in conjunction with Manufacturing and Procurement departments, having wider input into Production Planning.
- Work closely with Customer Commitment Team in satisfying Service Level Agreement commitments.
- Coordinate CCRP with QA department. Provide swift responses to LSUs.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree level qualification in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering OR
- Qualified to HNC level in a Mechanical Engineering discipline OR
- Time Served Apprentice in a Mechanical Engineering Discipline
