The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
• Identify and deliver opportunities for servicing and maintenance activities on the large installed base of Switchgear in the UK (Northern Region).
• Liaise with customers to satisfy their needs for effective breakdown support.
• Liaise with existing team of field based Sales Engineers who sell new switchboard systems.
• Interact with team of installation, test and design engineers and will require regular consultation with colleagues working on current projects.
• Manage the product portfolio, pricing and margins to ensure that customer targets are met
• Utilisation of prospect/activity tools and systems, and update of relevant information held in these systems
• Monitor prospects, market and competitor activities and provide the relevant reports and information
• Liaise closely with the company’s internal sales engineers and customers on both technical and commercial issues that arise as part of the tender development process
• Attend and present at both external customer and internal meetings that are necessary to perform duties and aid business development
• To constantly seek to improve quality standards in all aspects of our operations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Familiarity with all aspects of the design and installation of LV Switchgear, and the ability to persuade clients of the value of regular maintenance activities (e.g. visual inspection , thermograph, servicing of breakers/fuse switches , provision of adequate spares) to ensure continuity of supply is not compromised
• Sales planning ability
• Excellent Communication Skills, Good networking and Strong Interpersonal skills

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Knowledge of ‘intelligent’ systems (PLC Controls, DCS systems, communication protocols, etc)
• Knowledge of basic commercial law/terms and conditions would also be an advantage
