The Company:
Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry

The Role:
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Sales Engineer to help develop their MV Drives business via direct and indirect channels. The successful candidate will be required to promoteMV Drives to key industry players, i.e. Consultants, EPCs, OEMs, End Users with a view to increase revenue for the business.

Key duties will include:

• Analysing customer requirements to optimise the solution offered by the business.
• Complete customer visits (individual or with local Account Managers or Sales Managers) to ensure the clients needs are met.
• Locate and target new business opportunities and potential customers across the UK.
• Compile presentations to suit the customers needs on a variety of products and services
• Produce technical and commercial quotations to the client.
• Complete tendering support for a variety of projects
• Provide technical support by defining technical specifications especially for non-standard products
• Following up quotations prepared by the Internal Sales Engineers
• Submit monthly order forecasts for the region and maintain a Live Prospects List.
• Monitor, collect and report market trends and information on competitor activity for preparation of business plans and strategic policy.
• Identify changes within the market and provide feedback to assist in the development of existing and new products.
• Seek opportunities to develop framework agreements
• Undertake overseas training for internal Products
• Overseas travel from time to time in support of client visits to factories or project sales.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• HND / Degree Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics
• Proven technical sales experience
• Geographical knowledge of sales territory
• Clean Driving Licence
• Computer literate
• Good communication/presentation skills
