The Company:
Our client is an globally successful defence, security, transport and energy company with a long, consistent track record of development and growth.

The Role:
To promote, market and sell Control Systems for teh Nuclear industry to prime contractors and customers within the civil nuclear markets, and to bring in and win orders which are profitable and in line with business aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:
Marketing contribution
• Contribute to and assist in development of the annual marketing plan to be approved by the MD and FD.
• Contribute to the delivery of appropriate advertising material.
• Represent the company with customers, at conferences and professional / industry bodies.
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key customers.
• Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of customer needs, perceptions and expectations; and ensures timely action is taken to address these.
• Ensure all business unit engagements with customers have consistent messages.

Sales contribution
• Responsible for delivery of appropriate sales and marketing processes.
• Maintenance of an up to date opportunity and contact list.
• Responsible for the delivery of the 12 month order intake forecasting and the month by month order intake.

Strategic planning
• Support the Senior Management Team in the creation of the annual budget.
• Contribute to the development of the 5-Year Strategic Plan.
• Responsible for the delivery of product roadmaps (within allocated business unit) to drive the 5 year strategic plan.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• A deep understanding of the European Commercial Nuclear market including the technology, lobbyists, government agencies, industry key players, and regulatory requirements
• Business expertise in proposal writing, contract negotiation, terms and conditions, cash flow analysis, personnel hiring and training, financial analysis, and risk management for projects and business efforts
• This candidate must be able to multi-task easily and must be as comfortable analysing technical specifications and drawing
• Smart, well presented self-assured character with ability to develop good business relationships
• A further degree in engineering or scientific discipline.
• Member of appropriate professional and industry bodies
• Knowledge of control and safety systems design with significant experience gained within the nuclear energy market
• Broad range of experience within the civil nuclear market essential along with contractual and commercial awareness, proven and demonstrable ability
