The Role:
Business Development & Marketing:
- To understand the market potential, requirement and the needs of the customer, analyse and predict competitor behaviour in securing projects and proactively inititiate proper market window selection, sales activities and ensure product/system availability
- Develop and maintain a business plan. Prepare opportunity-planning/target-
agreement and obtain acceptance with Regional EF IE (in Malaysia)
- To ensure all customers, projects and sales funnel (short/mid/long-term) is constantly
developed and updated EF IE sales reporting tool database
- Maintain good relationships with existing customers and develop new customers
- Creative in developing opportunities e.g tie-ups with prospective EPC supppliers
- Presentations to clients (e.g. Utility, Owners, Consultants, O&M, IPP's).
- Participation in exhibitions/conferences
- Market Analysis
- Obtain market information, analyse and develop strategies to secure contracts
-Track competitors, position, strategy and products
- Create database system identifying the various systems used in the power
plants in the country
- Assist in market survey and market price level in the country

Sales
- To ensure that the target Sales Figures (Ebit, Order Entry, Turnover and Gross
Margin) are reached.
- Establish contacts and liaise with customers, consultants, contractors, sub-vendors
and partners.
- Assist Regional EF IE in budgeting of business figures
- Obtain Bid/No-bid decision from Regional EF IE and identify target opportunities
- Lead in the pre-qualification exercises
- Support in bid preparation according to full ISO process set up by Regional EF IE

SG&A:
- Ensure that the budgeted SG&A costs for the department is not exceeded.

Customer satisfaction
- Ensure that the customer satisfaction is achieved in all activities of the business


Proper handing over :
- On obtaining the order together with Regional EF IE, project is handed over to the
project execution team with an order cost calculation accepted by the nominated
Project Manager
- Act as the Business Development Manager during order execution to assist in
enhancing customer relationship with Execution Team
- Whenever necessary, assist the Project Management in handling the Onshore
package and follow up on any contractual matters
- Assist Regional E F IE on invoicing, delivery and cash flow
- Assist in the local procurement sourcing on request from Project Management
- Identify new opportunities and enhance contract value with customer during project
execution

After Sales business opportunities:
- To identify opportunities for After Sales market in the ASEAN region
- To assist Regional EF IE Service department in developing proposal and
opportunities with customer
Business Conduct Guidelines
- To be compliant to the business conduct guidelines by following the various process
of the company in the country

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of control system experience and associated experiences in Energy or Process Industry
- Executed projects or handled engineering/commissioning of Instrumentation, Electricals & Control projects
- Sales lead in project acquisition and contract finalisation
