The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
The successful candidate will lead the team that is responsible for sales of the entire product, systems and service portfolio for Power Generation. To maximize market potential and opportunity.

As a Sales Manager (Transformer Service) your main accountabilities will involve:
• Local marketing and product strategy;
- Recommend and implement local marketing and product strategy in line with overall business strategy
- The responsibility includes the task to develop a strategy within organizational framework for profitable growth, building customer relationship Sales targets
- Ensure demand side budget meeting or exceeding KPIs such as price and portfolio indexes

• Market coverage
- Optimize market coverage by geography, channels and product lines. Develop new customers and market segments and ensure profitably increase of local volume

• Business opportunities
- Strengthen the customer relationship through market intelligence, market communications and local account management. Where appropriate takes active personal role in sales
- Ensure sustainable growth targets are achieved

• Sales support
- Define and implement sales support infrastructure

• Sales processes
- Ensure continuous improvement in sales processes and cost to sell

• Special projects
- Work closely with the product factories to integrate the UK sales plans

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a Sales Manager (Transformer Service) you will have;
- Relevant engineering degree or HNC
- Strong background in the power sector and Transformers
- Demonstrate excellent customer focus
- Good networking skills
- Results orientation
- Strong business acumen
- Strategic thinker
- Ability to make an Impact and influence change
- Strong people skills

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
As a Sales Manager (Transformer Service) you will ideally have;
- Knowledge of the product portfolio
- Experience of differing business sectors and industry familiarisation
- Experience managing a sales team
