The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Provide planning input to the SAP programmes, Programme Management Team and PMO: Produce detailed MS Project plans to cover programme execution at detailed work package level. Produce task extracts from plans to support daily progress tracking Maintain both WIP and Reference sections of planning collaborative spaces (SharePoint, TeamConnect, shared drives, Documentum) Produce L2 and L1 high level summary plans/ sub-plans to regular schedule Maintain programme dependencies information Ensure plans adequately recognise intra-plan dependencies Ensure plans contain designated `Give¿ and `Get¿ milestones to drive inter-project dependencies (¿interdependencies¿) Contribute via PMO to Programme log of inter-programme dependencies Adhere to detailed common planning standards to cover: Levels of plan required Common configuration of planning tools Expected update cadence Insertion of programme milestones and other enablers of plan-based programme reporting Provide plan-based reports to the PM, Programme Management Team and PMO: Produce reports based on plan extracts using standard and bespoke views, filters and tables. Maintain key indices such as Schedule Performance Index and contribute to EVA Produce plan-based metrics as per programmes metrics library. Provide assurance for test plans Spot-check plans for adherence to standards Feed back on common and high-impact planning mistakes Help workstream planners meet planning standards Contribute to PMO-led planning forum to share good practice and to correct poor practice Capture Planning IP Contribute to definition and presentation of PMO Planning Service Ensure planning collateral is shared/ archived by JLR and TTL as part of Programme Closure and/or KT activities. Contribute to Programme `Phase Review¿ and `Lessons Learned¿ activities and outputs. Proactively `scan the horizon¿ and look for ways to adapt the Planning Service to meet emerging information needs.

Experience of building and managing SAP Programme Plans in MS Project. Experience of working on an SAP Programme (or similar ERP, or complex IT-enabled Business Transformation Programme) Experience of briefing or producing reports for senior managers up to project board level Experience of working in a delivery environment involving multiple organisations. Jaguar Land Rover previous experience an advantage. Experience of working with offshore colleagues an advantage Experience of managing issues & risks or benefits (desirable) Experience of training, people development or team development (desirable)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Holders of or candidates for this role must be able to provide evidence for the following skills, experience and desired behaviours. Candidates subsequently invited to interview are encouraged to bring a small portfolio of anonymised previous work to illustrate their skills and experience (JLR will not expect copies to be left after the interview). Skills Required Knowledge of MS Project 2003/2007/2010, presentation of plan information (custom filters, views, critical path analysis, etc). Understanding of standard IT application development tasks and processes, in particular of the test cycle. Excellent knowledge of MS Excel in terms of creating reports (formulas, charts, macros, etc.) Knowledge of SharePoint in terms of document management and control. Knowledge of project management methods, controls and assurance. Should have a flexible and practical approach to programme controls, in order to ensure project management time is spent on addressing issues and enabling delivery Experie

Confident in presenting to, instructing and coordinating others. Well organised, good at multi-tasking and able to deal with ad hoc urgent requests. Able to focus on enabling and supporting others.
